The Delaware River Basin Commission released its revised Draft Natural Gas Development Regulations on November 8, 2011. The stated purpose of the regulations is to "protect the water resources of the Delaware River Basin during the construction and operation of natural gas projects." The regulations apply to all natural gas development projects within the Basin and require DRBC approval of water sources and wastewater treatment. The revised rules will be considered for adoption on November 21, 2011.
