PA PUC Announces Public Hearings for Pentex and Peregrine Pipelines

On September 19, 2011, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission announced that it had scheduled public hearings regarding the pending applications of Pentex Pipeline Company and Peregrine Keystone Gas Pipeline to become public utilities under the Public Utility Code. Two hearings will be held for each company with the Pentex hearings taking place on October 7, 2011 and the Peregrine hearings taking place on October 26, 2011.

Pentex's application for a certificate of public convenience was filed in March 2011 and offered gathering and transporting services through a proposed pipeline in the Townships of Wyalusing, Herrick, Terry, Tuscarora, Stevens and Wilmot in Bradford County, PA. Peregrine's application was filed in September 2010 and offered pipeline services to all municipalities located in Pennsylvania's Greene, Fayette and Washington counties.
