In a letter order issued September 19, 2011, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company’s $56 million Northeast Supply Diversification project. The project consists of nearly seven miles of pipeline and multiple compression stations stretching from northeastern Pennsylvania to south central New York. Once installed, Tenessee Gas Co. plans to use the NSD project to transport gas west to New Jersey and north to New York and the New England states along its existing pipelines.
