P.U.C. Releases Impact Fee Disbursements for 2012

On June 13, the Public Utility Commission released on its website that more than $202.4 million in impact fees to county and municipal governments were collected this year. Act 13 mandates that gas producers pay an “unconventional gas well fee,” aka the drilling impact fee, to the PUC, which is then redistributed to counties and municipalities affected by drilling.

For information on the distribution of this fee, please visit the P.U.C. website.
