Quicksilver Subpoenaed by SEC

In a small, three-sentence blurb included in its August 9, 2011 quarterly report, Quicksilver Resources Inc., acknowledged that it has been subpoenaed by the SEC. The 10-Q filing states that the investigation arises out of “recent press reports questioning the projected decline curves and economics of shale gas wells.” Six days ago EXCO Resources admitted in its 10-Q that it also had received a similar subpoena. The subpoena is mentioned in Part II, Item 5 on Page 48 of the 10-Q.
