With the stated goal of furthering the “efficient and environmentally responsible” extraction of shale gas, the Pennsylvania Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission released its final report on July 22, 2011. The report contains 96 policy recommendations for Governor Tom Corbett including stronger drilling regulations, stiffer penalties for violations, and promoting the use of natural gas vehicles.
